Traditional Sliding Sash Windows Crafted from Accoya Timber
The homeowner wanted windows that preserved the traditional look of the property while offering modern durability. For this reason, we recommended Accoya, a high-performance timber that’s perfect for heritage-style windows.
We carefully crafted each sliding sash window to match the originals. Unlike older versions, these new windows feature double glazing and cords with weights to maintain traditional operation. Additionally, we included concealed draught seals for better insulation without compromising the appearance.
Thanks to the natural stability of Accoya, the windows won’t swell, warp, or rot—making them ideal for long-term use in rural properties.
A Front Door Built for Style and Security
In addition to the windows, the client asked us to replicate their original timber front door. Our team hand-built a new door using raised and fielded panels, complete with a moulding detail that matched the original.
To give the homeowner peace of mind, we also installed a modern multipoint locking system. This upgrade improved security while maintaining the traditional look of the entryway.

Both the door and windows were finished in our workshop using our trusted four-coat paint system. This process ensures a long-lasting, weather-resistant finish. We also colour-matched the paint to the client’s chosen RAL colour, helping the new joinery blend perfectly with the rest of the home.
